Mark your calendar because GiveBIG is Tuesday, May 5, 2015, and this year’s theme is “Day of Champions.” CHILD is excited to be a part of The Seattle Foundation's community-wide day of giving again this year.
Donating is easy! Just go to CHILD’s page at The Seattle Foundation’s website, click the DONATE NOW button and then hit submit. CHILD will be notified of your donation and you will receive an email with a tax receipt for your donation directly from Click and Pledge which handles the online processing for the Seattle Foundation. Note: in order to qualify for GiveBIG, donations must be made at The Seattle Foundation’s website, NOT through CHILD’s website.
This year, GiveBIG is on May 5 which means that all donations made to CHILD on May 5th (from midnight to midnight, PST) through the Seattle Foundation’s onlineGiving Center will receive a portion of the funds in this year’s stretch pool. The amount of the “stretch” depends on the size of the stretch pool and how much is raised in total donations on GiveBIG day. As long as you have an Internet connection (or access to the Internet on your mobile phone), you can participate! And it doesn’t matter if you give a dollar or a $1,000.00, every contribution makes you an MVP.
Join our families and staff and be champions for CHILD to capture all we can: it's easy - just call upon those you know to just “click and GiveBIG!”. Throughout the day, donors will be selected at random to receive a Golden Ticket; the charity that received that donor’s gift will receive an extra $1,000. Additionally donors will be randomly selected for personal prizes of gift cards from various Seattle Foundation GiveBIG sponsors.
The Seattle Foundation’s GiveBIG is a one-day, online charitable giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit organizations who make our region a healthier and more vital place to live. The people behind these organizations, those who work tirelessly to improve the lives of everyone in Greater Seattle, are champions. GiveBIG is a day to support their championship-worthy work.
